day 75: lower crossroads & care packages!

today we had quite the adventure! our morning started off by meeting up with the other journeygirls at the house we'll soon be moving into in order to carpool to church. there i learned that i'd received a package yesterday filled with amazing goodies (a sweet card, ortega fajita mix, sugarfree gum, & a TON of splenda)!!!!! i have the best friends EVER!! my splenda supply was running low...ashley king is the BEST!!

we headed to a fairly new xhosa church where one of our strong national partners ("pastor b") has recently moved. it was the first time the jgirls visited this community so we were using directions based off of a map. the problem is, especially in townships, there are no road signs...if the roads are even on the maps.

so...
we got lost...&, well, that's just never good.

we ended up having to call a church member to come & meet us to lead us there. we were late, but still made it for the last hour & a half of the service. LOVED the community there.

this little one fell asleep FIRST standing up in the middle of worship...
THEN while drinking from his bottle!
so precious! :)

please be in fervent PRAYer over:
- "pastor b," his wife & family as they transition into this newfound place of leadership. we are seeking to join God where He is already at work & it would appear as though He is moving in a MIGHTY way in "pastor b's" heart!
- lower crossroads baptist fellowship as they seek to be a light in their community
- the surrounding schools in that area - we have not begun work there YET...but are seriously praying over the potential continued partnership with this particular pastor as he truly has a heart to reach YOUNG PEOPLE!
