day 131: birthday bash

we spent this morning worshipping with lower crossroads baptist church where the fellowship was warm & the service centered around encouraging a newly married couple. the pastor focused his message on joshua 24, challenging those present to "choose for themselves this day whom they will serve."

the service began at 10:30 & we left around 1:30...and i'm actually pretty used to the length! worshipping in english-speaking services where you're in & out in an hour is crazy short! afterwards, we headed to meet some others from our team to celebrate sarah's 25th birthday! all in all, we had good food & great fellowship. smiles all around.
guess who got a hold of my camera? oh the many faces of "m"...
tearing into a burger the size of her head! :)
by the time we finally got home we were BEAT & spent some time resting. spent the evening preparing for this week's lessons...all about HIV in class & continuing the creation-to-Christ stories in club. our hearts break each time we go through the previous week's questions. thanking the Father for continuing to stir the hearts & minds of the learners!

PRAY for us this week...
- that as "t" joins us in the schools, the Lord would make clear to her the direction He's planned
- that we communicate clearly the gospel message, especially to after-school club kids
- that we answer tough questions well & connect learners with the right kind of help
- that we'd REMAIN in the Word...no matter what...& continue coming together as a team, getting to know one another & being the Body of Christ to one another as He's allowed us the opportunity & privilege of doing.
