started monday am by teaching in a nearby school - a short walk from the YWAM venue. the students there speak primarily afrikaans - not xhosa - & the whole experience was quite different than what we typically face each week in the township schools of CT. nevertheless, it was a hands-on experience in a classroom & for that we are grateful!
by the end of the afternoon, each had received their certificate & curriculum...as well as their own copy in several african languages of the Jesus film (which the curriculum incorporates, using Jesus as a role model of good character)! they proudly loaded up the car, excited to get home & share all about the long weekend with their friends & family. it was a great weekend! so wonderful to get to spend such quality time with our friends!
