day 138: a little taste of heaven

to say that we were blessed to worship with the langa baptist church family today would be a HUGE understatement. i woke up excited, sensing something good was to come & man, was that ever true! the worship was filled with both english & xhosa, lots of dancing & a great Word from psalm 85 all about restoring & reviving us again! as the pastor stood to share the church gave a round of applause. to this, he said, "church, that's ok for me...but when you clap for the LORD it best be better than that!" the roar that followed will forever ring in my mind! there's just something about the heart of african worship that always reminds me of the worship-filled eternity ahead of us!
the guest speaker talked about the necessity of reaching the youth here in cape town. he reminded us, again, that around 75% of the population is under 39. & of those, 32% are under 14. the numbers are staggering. PRAY with us that the LORD would faithfully draw young people to Him here in south africa. believing with all that we have that "greater things have yet to come & greater things are still to be done in this city!"
