day 156: Jesus' miracles

fun day today as we finished up term 3 at mzamomhle. played a review game in each of the classes & then had 14 girls show up for after-school club. there, we told a portion of creation-to-Christ revolving around God coming down to the earth in the form of a man named Jesus. we shared the story once in english. then "T" shared it in xhosa. finally, one of the girls stepped up & shared the story.

we talked about how Jesus performed many miracles, showing He had power over nature, power to meet our needs, power over evil spirits & power over even death. the girls sat wide-eyed the whole time. my favorite moment of the day was when one young lady whispered, "wow." out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. challenged by the faith i could see in her eyes.
