day 202: back to a normal monday!

finally back on somewhat of a regular schedule here; we will have a "normal" week this week! had 2 classes this morning where we taught on forgiveness & consequences. while forgiveness is completely available from the Father, there are still often consequences we must face. over the last few weeks we've hit hard the stories of the prodigal son & Jesus' reply to peter's question of how many times we should forgive our brother.

this afternoon at club we talked about our tongues. we shared about times when we were teased growing up & how we never forgot those words. we played the infamous telephone game in order to show how gossip spreads & taints. & we discussed james 3:5-6 where our tongues are compared to a small spark that can set a forest ablaze. then we talked about using our words for edification instead. each learner went home with a hand-written compliment from every other person in club...hopefully with the understanding of how powerful our words can be. challenged today by col. 3:17 - "whatever you do whether in WORD OR DEED, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
