each day we begin the life orientation (LO) classes by addressing anonymous questions the learners have submitted at the end of the lesson the previous week. last week at mzamomhle we talked a lot about gang involvement - a big issue here. here are just a few of the questions we answered today...(keep in mind english is not their first language & these are grade 7 students)!

(top) "If the gangsters (gang members) raip (rape) you
what you must do? and kidnapping (kidnap) you?"
(bottom) "What if the gangsters say
if you don't want to join they will kill you
or they will burn your house or rape your mother?" |
how different are the lives of the 7th grade students you know?
how would you respond??

Those questions break my heart but make me so thankful for your involvement in their lives!! I pray that the Lord would give you the words to say to the students!
