day 99: siyazakha

today we taught 5 classes at siyazakha - the school where we had 89 campers last week. there was a sense of excitement in the air when sarah & i walked into the "smurf room."

*side note: we keep a descriptive list of each of the classrooms & where they are since we are in 14 different ones throughout the week. the list looks something like this:

- 4th room on right/outer space room
- smurf room (building that has the smurfs painted on the outside)
- corner room by toilets on left
- look for lisakhanya (one of the learners we know well)
- room 6MK (one school has numbers on the doors...at least they DID until today when we realized they got new doors...which look GREAT...but no longer have #s. THAT was interesting)

ANYWAY...
the teacher squealed with excitement when we arrived saying, "oh we weren't sure if you were coming!"

all 5 classes were great & the learners there are slowly becoming some of our favorites. there are many leaders among them! in each class i have shared the story of david & bathsheba...& NOT ONE of the learners had heard the story before today. as rowdy as they were at times, you could have heard a pin drop when the Word was opened. praise the Lord for what He's doing in their hearts & minds.
as i've said before, this whole term in LO, the curriculum revolves around sex.
we discuss abstinence, God's plan for marriage, HIV/AIDS, & STIs.
this week we're focusing on self-control.
the kids have REALLY enjoyed this game - a spin on red light/green light! :)

so far this week, we've had several teachers stay in & take notes on the lessons AND ask for posters to put up in the rooms to remind the students of the lessons. continue PRAYing for the Lord to lead us to nationals who will partner with us in His work.
