day 240: jiu jitsu & a parking lot picnic.

more camp prep & supply-hunting today (thursday) followed by our getting to watch a jiu jitsu class for kiddos here! evening plans changed a bit but it was nothing a little improvisation couldn't take care of! had a little dinner picnic in the parking lot of a nearby store...not something i can say i've ever done but definitely won't forget it either. little "m" leaned over & asked, "what if people stare at us?" to this i said, "well, i guess we'll smile & wave!" and that's exactly what she did a few minutes later. had to smile! such a seemingly insignificant moment, but as i look back it does make me think...
isn't this how we're called to live as believers - going against the grain, living atypically? do people stop & take notice that we're living differently? & when they do, how do we respond? convicted & PRAYing tonight that...
1. we would be living lives worthy of the calling we have received (eph. 4)...
2. that the world would take notice of a Difference in our lives (the Spirit within!)
3. that when they do notice, we wouldn't simply smile & wave them on by...but that we would RUN with the open door & opportunity to share with them about our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ!

so be it!
