there we have the opportunity to work with 3 classes (w/ ~45 learners each) teaching physical education - a key component of the life orientation classes & one in which teachers have little to no training. the relationships with teachers & students alike have already grown immensely in the short amount of time we've been there. praise the Lord!
in addition to the phys. ed classes, we get to worship with & encourage the students who gather together during their lunch break for their SCO (student Christian organization). nothing quite like a room FULL of young people lifting up one voice of praise & PRAYer to our Lord!
we've also had an open door to tutor 20 grade 12 students in english after school as well. a definite full plate on thursdays & the possibility of adding a 4th phys. ed class too in the near future! PRAY with us friends however you feel led! our God is at work!
