day 471: old camel knees

JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS OR WERE OVERWHELMED BY THE # OF WORDS/POSTS LAST WEEK:

in a matter of 4 days...

14 professions of faith by xhosa youth,
1 national partner committed & able to join us in CLASS in addition to after-school club,
1 new national partner with a heart for discipleship,
countless conversations & evidences of Him at work...
& a huge recognition of the power & importance of PRAYER.
overwhelmed by what He allowed us to see last week. it's ALL HIM at work! reminded that while weeks like this are encouraging, we must recognize He is just as much at work & moving in the weeks where we don't get to see the fruit. challenged personally with this Truth. does my heart reflect the same kind of gratitude in tough weeks? it should.

have to say a huge thank you for your support along the way & offer this challenge as well: while we are encouraged by the tangible gifts many of you offer & send...please hear & know our hearts: the greatest thing you can do to encourage & join us here...join the WORK here...join HIM HERE...is BATTLE WITH US ON YOUR KNEES - ON YOUR FACE BEFORE OUR FATHER!

i've always loved that jesus' half-brother james was known as "old camel knees." this thought always challenges me to take a long, hard look at my life...am i operating as if i'm too busy to PRAY...or too busy not to? in whose strength am i really attempting to step into each day ahead?

may our knees grow calloused...
& our hearts grow softened to the Spirit's lead!
