day 79: discovering getaways

it's been a typical winter (so we hear) these last few days. literally POURING day in & day out & getting down into the 40s at night. most people in the States just don't understand. you look at the weather here (which says 50s) and you think, "that's perfect weather!" but trust me, it's really not. remember...your homes likely have insulation...& heat. i'm not complaining...just EXplaining!! :)

anyway, today i woke up & did NOT want to crawl out of bed. it was 36 outside (BUT the sun was out praise the Lord)!! what in the world...it's JUNE! but...i got up anyway. i got to meet up & spend a few hours again with my sweet "mentor" who keeps introducing me to different getaway spots in cape town. today we walked up & down a part of the mountain before sitting down & chatting over coffee. she truly is a breath of fresh air!!
