day 78: home affairs (trip #2)

well, we took our 2nd trip downtown to the department of home affairs wednesday. now, there's really good news & then there's semi-bad news.

realy good news: I GOT MY WORK PERMIT (& sort of set a record in the process)! while others on our team have waited for over a year before they received theirs (& some are still waiting), for whatever reason mine was processed in SIX DAYS!! no one can hardly believe it. 

the semi-bad news: even though we both received word that our applications were finalized, sarah (my on-field partner) was told to come back in 15-20 days. why? who knows...this is africa (TIA)!
