day 204: join in w/ PRAYers for siyazakha

burdened wednesday morning to really bathe our day in PRAYer. drove onto campus & spent some time PRAYing there in the car. it really slowed us down (in a pace-kind-of-way) & allowed us to walk into each class with more of a patient, gentle mindset & demeanor. as we walked to our first class the police were wiping down one of the offices for fingerprints. had been a break in & a laptop was stolen.

COOLEST moment ever in the schools thus far: in one of our classes that day as we were leaving, one of the learners asked us to PRAY over them before we left as they are about to begin an intense time of writing (taking) exams. OF COURSE we PRAYed with them. as we announced what the student had asked & what we were about to do, every student stood up. i PRAYed & as i did i heard some of the kids PRAYing as well, unashamedly. i said "amen" and as i looked up over half the students continued in PRAYer - eyes closed, heads held high & both hands raised. oh to have a picture of that moment! but even without one, that image is forever etched in my mind. God is definitely working in these young people! so encouraged!

overall it was a great day although we had some discipline/behavior problems in the last class. PRAY with us over our time on wednesdays, especially over the last class of the day. there are some there who are so obviously hungry for Truth...but there are just enough who could care less that it's seemingly impossible to speak to the few. PRAY for perseverance, please!

spent the evening w/ some colleagues relaxing a bit around a "fire pit" & making smores! almost like being back at home! :)
