day 467: scripture memory explosion!
headed back to xolani primary this week on monday pretty excited to speak with J the teacher who i shared about last week. the Lord had her heavy on our hearts over the weekend with the return of her husband & all that went along with that. knowing she'd be up, i sent her a message at 1:30am. she'd forgotten that she'd shared with us about the whole situation so when we showed up to school the first thing she said was, "you! you send me a message in the middle of the night! i looked at my phone & thought these girls! i thought they were church girls...what are they doing awake partying?!" we laughed & joked with her a bit before clearing some things up, reminding her of our conversation & sharing that the Lord had her on our minds. please continue in PRAYer with us for opportunities to share Truth with our friend J.
classes went well & after-school club even better. most of the 20 kids attended & for whatever reason, they suddenly started "running" so to speak with Scripture memory. by the end of the afternoon, most had memorized 2-3 verses in about a half hour...& in their second (or more) language! if you're receiving this update via email, CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO - YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT! :)
